The Heidelberg Theater’s winter program (December through February) includes classical concerts (such as Schubert’s Winterreise), festive Bach performances, and the Baroque festival “Winter in Schwetzingen.” It also features a wide range of spoken theater, musical theater, dance, and productions for children (e.g., “The Little Witch”), often with a short winter break in early January. In addition to the core genres of drama and musical theater, the winter season often features dance premieres (often in preparation for the Dance Biennale in February).
