Since 1984, the Stückemarkt has showcased the avant-garde of theater with readings of nominated plays, guest performances from German-speaking countries and an international guest country program. The festival includes a prestigious playwriting competition, the Nachspiel Prize and the Youth Theater Prize, all designed to promote young talent.
